Xi “Jake” Wang is a Los Angeles–based media artist and filmmaker, and an active member of the Visual Effects Society (VES). With experience across visual effects, animation, digital art, and immersive media, he currently serves as Head of Production at Utopai Studios, leading multidisciplinary animation and film production teams to develop generative AI–driven content for feature films, television, animation, and music videos, while defining creative vision and overseeing the end-to-end production pipeline. Previously, he worked at top VFX studios including Digital Domain, contributing to major productions such as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Dune: Part Two, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, The Last of Us, and The Electric State. His independent work spans VR, AR, and projection mapping, and has been showcased at events and festivals including SIGGRAPH, the Telluride Film Festival, LA Shorts International Film Festival, and the Odense International Film Festival.
